Product Definition:
Aluminum iodide is a compound formed from aluminum and iodine. It has several uses, including as an additive in antiperspirants and deodorants to reduce sweating, as a catalyst in the production of plastics and other organic chemicals, and as a fire retardant.
Grade 50%:
Grade 50% is a transparent solid, which contains no appreciable water or moisture content. It has an orthorhombic crystal structure and is very hard. The material has high tensile strength and flexural modulus, which makes it suitable for use in optical fiber cable insulation applications.
Grade 95%:
The grade 95% is a special type of aluminum powder, which contains 5.0% of the element by weight. It has almost similar properties like that of pure aluminum and it can be used in any application where pure aluminum is used. Grade 95% has better physical properties than standard commercial product and also costs lesser than it, which makes it suitable for use in pharmaceuticals industry as an anti-caking agent to prevent formation of clumps during processing & transportation or storage.

The aluminum iodide is used in the manufacturing of lithium ion batteries as it improves the discharge performance of anode materials.
