There are two types of wheel speed sensors namely stationary and moving.
Magnetic Electric Type:

It does this by measuring the change in voltage that occurs when current flows through a coil of wire around an axle. The faster the vehicle goes, the more electricity there will be in these wires and thus they will generate more magnetic field lines that go into a sensor and get converted into an electrical signal.
