It is an essential component of the electrical system since it provides initial DC voltage to start up all the other components in the aircraft. The starter generator output is connected to various devices such as battery monitoring equipment, fuel pumps, hydraulic systems and air conditioning compressors among others.


Transformer Rectifier:


The Transformer Rectifier is a power supply device that converts low voltage AC to high voltage DC and vice versa. It's main function is to step up or step down the voltages generated by the electrical systems in an aircraft. The TRC consists of two outputs, an input and output, with three wires namely yellow, black & white connected to it. The yellow & black wires are connected to the input terminals while the white wire connects with output terminal.
