Iron-based amorphous metal ribbons (IMRs) are a class of materials with low Curie temperature and high thermal conductivity. IMRs can be made from pure iron or iron alloys, but the most commercially used IMR is composed of 10% carbon steel and 90% iron.


Cobalt-Based:


Cobalt is a chemical element produced by the osmotic pressure of water against the hydrostatic pressure of hydrogen-based compounds. Cobalt-based amorphous metal ribbons are made from thin films of cobalt metal that is deposited on a substrate material such as glass, plastic or carbon. The material has high electrical resistance and can be used in applications where high electrical resistivity is required.
