Azimsulfuron is a sulfonylurea herbicide used to control annual and perennial grasses and broadleaf weeds in non-crop areas.


Water Dispersible Granules (WG):


Water dispersible granules (WG) is a widely used adjuvant for herbicides. It increases the efficiency of the herbicide by enabling it to spread over a larger area, which makes it more effective in killing weeds. The water-soluble compound is bound to WG and thus can be washed off easily during rain or irrigation processes, making it suitable for use in agricultural fields all across the world.


Granules (GR):


Granules are the dried, roasted and crushed parts of plant seeds or fruits. They are used as a filler in various products including fertilizers, insecticides and fungicides. Granules can be produced from several raw materials such as soybean meal, cottonseed cake, corn cobs and wheat bran among others. The most commonly used granule is soybean which is also known as soya granules or defatted soya flour.


Application Insights:


Cereals and grains was the largest application segment in 2017. The product is widely used for the cultivation of cereals and grains to control weed, smother emerging diseases, increase yield, and improve overall plant health. Azimsulfuron is highly preferred for controlling weed growth as it does not have any effect on the germination process of plants which are essential characteristics in farming activities. It also has a high efficacy rate when applied directly to crops as compared to when it is mixed with other chemicals or pesticides that are being applied subsequently over fields during harvest time.
