Cadmium nitrate is a chemical compound of cadmium and nitric acid. It is a highly toxic, colorless, and crystalline solid that dissolves in acids. Cadmium nitrate decomposes when heated; the reaction produces nitrogen dioxide (NO2) and calcium sulfate.


Application Insights:


Cadmium acetate is used in the ceramic industry as a fluxing agent and to improve the firing performance of ceramics. The product also finds application in metal plating, which helps in preventing corrosion. In addition, it is used for cadmium oxide pigments that are utilized for coloring glass and ceramics.
