Surface Capacitive Sensing:


Surface Capacitive Sensing (SCS) is a technology that enables the sensing of capacitive touch on any non-conductive surface. The main advantage of this technology over resistive or optical sensing methods is that it provides complete multi-touch support with high accuracy and low implementation complexity.


Projected Capacitive Sensing:


The projected capacitive sensing is a technology that utilizes a capacitor made of two conductive plates to sense the position and the distance of a touch. The major advantage of this system over resistive or optical sensing systems is its ability to detect even very small changes in capacitance due to finger movement, thereby making it an ideal choice for implementing in touch screen displays and other applications where accurate positioning of fingers on the screen is important.
