High-purity liquefied carbon dioxide (HPC) plants are used to produce carbon dioxide in large quantities. The plant consists of a number of components including gas compressor, absorption column, liquid CO2 generator and heat exchanger among others. HPC is produced by compressurizing and cooling high-quality gas feedstock which contains minimal impurities.
Medium-Purity Liquefied Carbon Dioxide Plants:
Medium-purity liquefied carbon dioxide (MPCO2) plants are used in CO2 production plants to increase the purity level of carbon dioxide. MPCO2 is a colorless gas with a slight sweet odor. It has no taste and does not react chemically with water or other substances. The purity level of MPCO2 can be increased by almost 99% without changing its chemical properties, structure, or composition.
