0.90 grade is a fine-grained, hydrated magnesium silicate used in high-temperature ceramics and refractory materials. It has the ability to absorb moisture from the atmosphere and can be utilized as an alternative to ground or sintered glass beads for certain applications where dry heat resistance is required. DBM consists of very fine particles that are evenly distributed in a network throughout the mass, which results in better thermal properties than other DBMs such as 0.


0.95 Grade:


0.95 grade is a type of Dead Burned Magnesia (DBM) which has high demand in the global market due to its properties such as low viscosity, fluid like consistency and thermal stability. It also offers easy handling and transportation features along with an enhanced end product.


The 0.95 grade DBM is widely used in various applications including foundry sand molds, concrete mixes, hydraulic fillers.

The product is used as a fluxing agent and an etchant in the blast furnace to remove scale formations from the molten metal. It is also used as a desulphurizing agent and an anti-scaling agent during processing of low-grade iron ores.


Magnesium silicate based dead burned magnesia has found applications other than steel manufacturing including cement production owing to its superior properties such as high abrasion resistance, chemical inertness towards cement hydration products and good grinding characteristics when mixed with portland cements or slurrys made from portland cements.
