Solid version is the most basic form of dissolvable fracture ball. The solid type is preferred over liquid or powder because it stays put in the fracture channel longer which results in better control by healthcare professionals during surgery.
Hollow Version:
Hollow version is a method of manufacturing plastic composite parts by using dissolvable frac ball technology. This method allows for the elimination of secondary operations such as grinding, filling, and machining. The process consists of five major steps which include molding the part in liquid polymer clay; removal of excess clay; curing or hardening; separation into individual parts with minimal degradation due to surface tension or shrinkage during drying; and lastly finalizing or dressing the finished product.
