Cationic Resins:
Cationic resins are synthetic organic compounds that have an amine group (NH2) as a central functional group. Cationic resin is also known as amine-terminated polymer or polyamino acid. The cationic nature of the chemical makes it adhere to surfaces and it has been used in various applications such as adhesives, sealants, coatings, inks & printing papers among others.
Anionic Resins:
Anionic resins are derivatives of fatty acids and have carboxyl group. They are used in the production of Duolite which is a major ingredient in floor polish industry. The other important application includes adhesives, paints & coatings, elastomers, and lubricants among others.
