Reactive Ion Etching (RIE):


Reactive ion etching (RIE) is a chemical process used to remove material from a wafer of semiconductor materials by using an acid solution. RIE can be performed before or after Clean Room Etch (CRE) and/or Plasma Enhanced Chemical Vapor Deposition (PECVD).
