Product Definition:

Tapered-edged fire-resistant plasterboards are manufactured by the process of wet pressing, where the edge of a log is first cut to form a rebate. The log is then split lengthwise and dried; however, due to its natural tendency, it will tend to shrink towards one end. This causes an imbalance in the board which has been split unevenly along its length.
Square-Edged:
The square-edged boards are manufactured with a face width of 4 inches and a thickness of 1.5 to 2 inches. The product is used in the manufacturing process of fire-resistant plasterboards as it provides strength and rigidity to the structure during burning. It also helps in providing an aesthetic appeal to the final product by making it smooth, flat, and uniform in shape.
Application Insights:
The residential segment accounted for the largest share of 72.3% in 2017 and is projected to witness significant growth over the forecast period.
