A flavored spirit is a distilled beverage that has been flavored with natural or artificial flavors. The flavorings can be added during the distillation process or after. Flavored spirits are often used in cocktails, mixed drinks, and shooters.


Whiskey:


Whiskey is a distilled alcoholic beverage, which is made from several types of grains. The grain can be either a cereals like maize or wheat or it can be derived from the starchy parts of the barley such as “bread” and “flour”. The fermentation process helps to transform sugar found in the grains into ethanol, which is also known as ethyl alcohol.


Rum:


The term rum has been used for many products over the years. The most common usage of the term refers to a spirit produced from sugarcane or sugar beets. Rums that are made solely from sugarcane are known as white rums; whereas those that are made using other grains/ cereals are termed as colored or flavored rums.
