Inorganic Type:


Inorganic type is a colloidal particle made up of metal or mineral salts. In the case of inorganic types, metal cations (positively charged particles) are held in suspension by anionic surfactants or polymers. The most common example would be aluminum silicate which has positively charged alumina particles (aluminum oxide) coated with an anionic polymer to make them negatively charged so they can bind together easily.


Organic Type:


Organic types are used in flocculants and coagulants for the removal of suspended solids, dissolved organic matter, and other particulate matters. Organic type is a group of chemicals that contains carbon chain with between four to twelve links.


Application Insights:
