Garlic Essential Oil is a natural oil distilled from the bulb of the garlic plant. It has a strong, pungent aroma and is used in aromatherapy to help relieve respiratory problems, such as colds and bronchitis, and to improve digestion.


Food Grade Garlicin Oil:


Food grade garlicin oil is produced by solvent extraction of garlic cloves from the head with the help of high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and supercritical fluid CO2. It has a strong smell similar to that of fresh crushed garlic and tastes slightly sweet. Food grade garlicin oil contains allicin, an essential oil component which has anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, antioxidant and immune system strengthening properties.


Feed Grade Garlicin Oil:


Feed grade garlic oil is a by-product obtained during the production of garlic for commercial purposes. It has high nutritional content and can be used as an alternative to regular edible oil. Garlic essential oil is extracted from crushed raw cloves using steam distillation or solvent extraction methods. Feed grade garlic oil contains allicin, quercetin, kaempferol, lutein & zeaxanthin and other minor compounds which are not present in the case of regular edible oils.


Application Insights:


The pharmaceuticals segment accounted for the largest revenue share of over 40% in 2017. Garlic essential oil is used as an antifungal, antibiotic and antipyretic agent in medicines.
