Ethyl Tertiary-Butyl Ether (ETBE):
ETBE, also known as tertiary-butyl ether is a colorless liquid with an extremely strong odor. It is mainly used as an octane booster in gasoline. The major application of ETBE is to be used in petrol (gasoline) and diesel fuel which has been approved by the U.S.
