2-chloronicotinicacid is a derivative of nicotinic acid. It has been used as an herbicide and fungicide.


Industrial Grade:


Industrial grade is the purest form of 2-chloronicotinic acid. The compound is used as a precursor to other chemicals that find application in agriculture, pharmaceuticals, construction materials, coatings & dyes industries.


Pharmaceutical Grade:


Pharmaceutical grade is used in the production of 2-chloronicotinic acid. It is a colorless crystalline solid and has a slightly sweet odor. The product can be produced by both synthetic as well as natural methods. However, the most commonly used method involves the fermentation of sugar to produce D-glucose which further gets converted to D-crystalline lactic acid which is then hydrolyzed to give 2-chloronicotinic acid (CPA).
