Silver foams are unique in their composition of ingredients as they comprise an active ingredient (Ag) which acts as an antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory and antiseptic agent at the same time.
Silver Alginate Dressing:
Silver alginate dressing is a silver-based hydrogel that is used as an adhesive to adhere the dressing to the wound. It has superior properties such as rapid healing, reduced risk of infection, and pain on removal. The product also allows better oxygen transfer and diffusion of nutrients into the tissue which further enhances its usage in chronic wounds like diabetic foot ulcers, pressure ulcers or surgical wounds.
