Double Stage Gas Pyrotechnic Type:
Double stage gas pyrotechnic type is a device that produces two types of explosions, the primary and secondary. The secondary explosion occurs at a higher pressure than the primary one and both these stages are held in an envelope which is made of metal or polymer. It’s used to inflate airbags in automobiles owing to its high-pressure capabilities which are around 150 bar.
Double Stage Gas Storage Type:
Double stage gas storage is used in airbag gas generator for storing the emergency backup power supply. It has two tanks, which are connected through a valve that allows gas to flow from one tank to another when the first tank is empty. The second stage of double-stage storage contains a much larger volume of gas than the first stage and can be used as an emergency backup power supply for several hours or even days.
