Silicon Carbide (SiC) is a ceramic material that has high thermal conductivity and low electrical conductivity. It is produced in the High-Pressure Processing (HPP) method, which involves treating silicon at pressures of up to 20 GPa. SiC particles are made from silica and carbon, with about 30% of carbon content by weight being used in the manufacturing process.
