Product Definition:
Aliphatic polyketones are a subclass of thermoplastic polymers that have repeating aliphatic ketone monomer units. They are used in engineering applications where high stiffness, strength and heat resistance are required.
Injection Grade:
Injection grade is a type of polyurethane that is manufactured by injecting the polymer into the mold cavity. The process requires high pressure and temperature, around 300°C, for adequate mixing of ingredients. Injection-grade PUK has higher flowability than other types and offers ease in processing owing to its smooth surface.
Extrusion Grade:
Extrusion grade is a type of polyketone that has been processed through an extrusion process. It consists of interlocked blocks that are connected by cross-linking agents such as an ethylene glycol or a urea formaldehyde solution. These grades have high compressive strength and impact resistance, low density, good surface finish and excellent flow properties when compared to other polykets.
Application Insights:
