Alkyl phenolic resin is a synthetic resin that is derived from the reaction of an alkylphenol and formaldehyde. It is a thermoset plastic that is used in numerous applications, including adhesives, coatings, and sealants.


Lump:


Lump is a by-product formed during the manufacturing process of alkyl phenolic resins. It consists of carbon and hydrogen in an amorphous form. Lump can be utilized as a substitute for Phenol Formaldehyde (PFR) in various end-use industries such as paints & coatings, adhesives, plastics, rubber products and printing inks among others.


Flake:


Flake is a type of particulate matter that is generated naturally in the upper atmosphere by means of pollution from industrial and domestic activities. It forms snow-like crystals around 10 to 12 miles above the earth’s surface. The larger flakes usually reach the ground, but some smaller flakes remain in the air for longer periods.


The flake size has an important effect on their chemical.

The printing ink application segment led the global alkyl phenolic resin market in 2017.
