AlTiB5/1:
AlTiB5/1 is a new material developed by the scientists of Eindhoven University of Technology in collaboration with the researchers from Japan's Hitachi High-Technologies Corporation. The AlTiB5/1 material consists of three elements, namely, aluminum, titanium and boron. It has properties which are very similar to those exhibited by commercial boron nitride (BN) materials but at low cost and without any licensing requirement for patents.
AlTiB3/1:
AlTiB3/1 is a new material developed by the US Department of Energy's Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL). The material has an extremely high melting point and combines properties of both metals, titanium and aluminum, along with boron. It also has better mechanical properties than any other known compound.
Application Insights:
