The angiotensin II receptor is a type of receptor found on the surface of cells. It is activated by the hormone angiotensin II, which causes the cells to contract. The receptor is important for regulating blood pressure and fluid balance.

C-21 is also known as angiotensin II receptor, it's a protein that enables the entry of angiotensin II into cells. The blood pressure raising effect of captopril is due to its ability to bind with the sites on the kidney and liver. EMA-401:


EMA-401 is a selective and competitive inhibitor of the human EMT1A (KIT) receptor. It has been studied in combination with an angiotensin II receptor 1 (R1) antagonist in Phase 2b clinical studies for the treatment of hypertension.
