Anhydrous Dibasic Calcium Phosphate is a dry, white powder that is used as a food additive and in some pharmaceuticals. It is important because it helps to bind other ingredients together, makes them more soluble, and improves their stability.


Hydrochloric Acid:


Hydrochloric acid is a highly corrosive, strong, inorganic acid with a pKa of 2. It is traditionally produced by treating salt-sulfuric acid with hydrogen gas. Hydrochloric acid can also be produced through direct reaction between sulfur and chlorine at an extremely high temperature (4 Atm). The above method however produces purer HCL as the product formed is more stable than that obtained through the traditional thermal process.


Phosphoric Acid:


Phosphoric acid is a white crystalline solid, which is soluble in water and ethanol. It has a molecular weight of 64.1 and an ionic strength of 1.5%. It has applications as fertilizers, detergents, alkyd resins, polymers & co-polymers production; pharmaceuticals & fine chemicals; rubber industry; glass industry; food additives and others such as leather tanning agents & metal working fluids (lubricants).
