Linear Alkylbenzene Sulfonate:


Linear alkylbenzene sulfonate, LAS or n-alkyl benzene sulfonate, is an organic compound derived from toluene and xylene. It has a chemical structure similar to that of other alkylbenzene derivatives such as n-propyl benzene sulfonate and n-butyl benzene sulfonate.


Lignosulfonate:


Lignosulfonate is a chemical compound derived from lignite, a type of coal. It is an organic salt and has the formula (C 6 H 5 ) 2 O 7 . The anion produced by deprotonation of the cationic surfactant formed by oxidation of lignosulfonate (LSO 4 -) is known as the lignosulfonate anion or S-anion.
