Calcium stearate is a type of stearic acid-based solid. It has an odor similar to butter and tastes slightly sweet. Calcium stearate is produced from refined vegetable oils such as palm kernel oil, coconut oil, soybean oil, and sunflower seeds. The refining process of the product makes it free from contaminants & other materials that may cause problems during usage in food items such as cakes & pastries or pharmaceutical products like tablets & capsules.


Magnesium Stearate:


Magnesium stearate is a white powder made from magnesium sulfate. It has applications in pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and food as an anti-caking agent. The product is insoluble in water and easily dissolves in alcohol or oil. It can be produced through chemical synthesis or a combination of both; however, the most commonly used method to produce it commercially is by the chemical reaction of magnesium sulfate with stearic acid (a form of fatty acid).
