A floor that is designed to prevent electrostatic discharge (ESD) by providing a continuous ground path.


Opposed Piston:


The opposed piston is a device that acts as an alternative to the conventional static random access memory (SRAM) and dynamic RAM. The opposed pistons are used in various applications such as industrial control systems, networking equipment, personal computers and servers, consumer electronics equipment like mobile phones & tablets among others.


Anti-static flooring is widely used in the electronic industry for providing a conductive surface for improving efficiency of electric circuits by minimizing electrostatic discharges (ESD).


Floating Caliper:


Floating caliper is a device used to measure the static charge on the anti-static floor. It works by floating an electrode over the surface of an anti-static floor and measuring any charges that are transferred through the floor due to friction between shoe and surface.


The device measures both static charges (high voltage) as well as those charges that build up when walking across a charged nylon or ceramic tile surface (low voltage).


Application Insights:


The others application segment accounted for the largest revenue share of over 30% in 2017. The segment includes minivans, light trucks, and buses. Anti-static technology is integrated into flooring materials for vehicles to protect carpets and mats from damage caused by Electrostatic Charge (ESC). Anti-static floors are also used in sedans as they offer better traction while driving or moving on snow or ice due to improved adhesion properties between shoes and surface of the flooring.
