Water jet oxygenator is a device used to provide pure oxygen to an aquatic animal. It works by directing a high-pressure water stream (jet) towards the animals tank where fish are kept. The pressure of the water jet increases with its distance from the source, and it eventually falls below that of atmospheric pressure at which point pure oxygen is delivered into the aquarium through a hose.


Waterwheel Type Oxygenator:


Waterwheel type oxygenators are used to provide oxygen for aquatic animals. Oxygen is provided by the wheel which is passed through water. The most commonly used fish for this purpose are carp, tilapia and goldfish among others. It helps in increasing the aquarium oxygen level and also acts as a filter removing harmful bacteria from the water with its waste products thereby making it safe for use by other aquatic animals.
