Multi-Process Equipment (MPE) is a welding process that uses more than one arc at a time. It’s also known as multiple or second-process welding and it can be used for metal fabrication, repair work, general fabrication and maintenance operations. MPE requires less training compared to conventional processes such as stick welder or TIG welder. The equipment is easy to handle due to its lightweight design which makes it suitable for small shops with limited space requirements.
