An artificial urinary sphincter implantation device (AUS) is a surgically implanted device that helps men with urinary incontinence. When the man feels the need to urinate, he squeezes a bulb on the end of the scrotal pump to release water into the cuff, which relaxes and allows him to urinate.

The artificial urinary sphincter implantation device (AUSP) is used for the treatment of stress and urge incontinence. It is also used to treat male hypospadias and female urinary retention. The AUSP consists of a silicon rubber bladder cuff that is surgically implanted around the urethra, thus restricting urine flow out of the body.
