It's done by using high speed steel wire which is passed through the part at high pressure, this creates dimples in the surface of the part which eventually get smoothened out due to abrasion. The finished product has better appearance and finish than carbide or ceramic shots.


Glass Bead Shot:


Glass bead shot is a type of ammunition used in peening machines. It's made up of small glass beads and it's used to hit the steel shots with high speed in order to create micro-pulses or showers that are required for surface repair processes. The machine uses this product as a primary source for generating high-pressure streams that propel into the target material at an extremely high rate, which helps in rapidly restoring damaged parts.
