Differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) is a device used to measure the heat given out or absorbed during chemical reactions. It also helps to study phase changes, such as melting and crystallization.


Oxygen bomb calorimeter:


An oxygen bomb calorimeter is an apparatus used to measure the heat given out or absorbed during chemical reactions. It works on the principle of combustion where a small amount of oxygen is provided along with the fuel. The heat released by reaction between fuel and oxidizer in presence of limited oxygen results into a higher temperature, which can be measured accurately using this device.


Oxygen Bomb Calorimeter (OBC) measures heat release or absorption.
