Product Definition:
An automotive motor stator is the stationary part of an electric motor that surrounds the rotor. The stator consists of a number of electrical windings that are supplied with current from an external source, such as a battery or alternator. When the current flows through these windings, they generate a magnetic field that interacts with the magnets on the rotor to create torque and power. The stator is typically enclosed in a housing made from cast iron or aluminum alloy, and it rotates along with the shaft of the motor.
DC Type:
DC type is the simplest form of electric motor. It has no internal resistance, so it requires only one-third power to drive an attached load than AC type which has inherent losses. DC motors are used in numerous applications ranging from toys to automobiles and industrial equipment.
AC Type:
AC type is the classification for an electric motor based on its power source. It can be classified as a synchronous generator or a simple generator depending upon the speed of rotation of the rotor and stator windings respectively. The AC type is widely used in automobile motors, which are termed as step-down transformers. These step-down transformers have two windings; namely, primary and secondary (or tertiary) windings.
