The LIN network on the other hand is a bottom-up approach, wherein all components share an interface and data transmission occurs directly between nodes without any intermediate node(s).


Ethernet Type:


Ethernet type is a data networking technology that provides the capability of sharing a single network resource among several stations connected via a local network. It is also known as internet protocol (IP) based Ethernet which has replaced earlier protocols such asARCNET and ARINC 861. The primary function performed by Ethernet Type is to provide an IP-based virtual circuit between two systems, or between any station and the destination host, or gateway host, or another station on the same local network.
