A ball gauge is a tool used to measure the size of a bore. It consists of a number of balls of graduated sizes, which are inserted into the bore. The largest ball that will fit into the bore is then measured and this gives the size of the bore in inches or millimeters.


One Sided:


One-sided, also known as one-dimensional or single, is a term used to described material that has only one side of the fabric or gauging element. One-sided products are widely used in the textile industry for printing and design purposes. The growth factor responsible for their increased usage is due to their ease of printing on both sides unlike two-sided which has a reverse side and requires special handling procedures while printing.


Two Sided:


The two-sided ball gauge is a device used to measure the internal and external diameters of a sphere. It consists of an orifice through which the sphere can pass, and two hemispheres that are pressed against each other by means of a spring. As pressure is applied to one or other of the hemispheres, it exerts an influence on the size of hole through which passes; this hole is then measured with respect to some fixed standard such as a pipe.
