Balsa core composites are a type of composite material made from thin sheets of balsa wood bonded together with an adhesive. Balsa is used because it is light and strong, making it an ideal material for use in lightweight composite structures.

8mm:


8mm is a standard film gauge used for making lightweight and thin-walled composite parts. It is also used to produce carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) parts, which are commonly known as aramid fibers. 8mm can be used with any resin or paint; however, it works best with epoxy resins due to their high strength and durability. The most common types of 8mm products include layup/paint grade and prepreg/mesh grade.
