Bisphenol AF (BPAF) is a synthetic compound used as an epoxy resin binder for manufacturing plastic and rubber products. It has 99.5% purity and it's molecular weight is about 300 Da. BPAF is commercially available in two forms including monomeric form (polyacrylate & polyether ether ketone) and oligomeric form (polyethylene & polypropylene).


Application Insights:


Bisphenol A polymers held the largest revenue share of over 40.0% in 2017. These are used in manufacturing a wide range of products including cash deposit machines, computer hard disks, and thermal interface materials for space heating and cooling systems among others. Polycarbonate is one such polymer that is majorly used to manufacture security containers along with epoxy resins as binders.
