A blister density tester is a device used to test the uniformity of blister pack voids. The importance of blister density testers is that they help to ensure that products are packaged correctly and that there are no defects in the packaging.


Single Cylinder:


Single cylinder devices are used to measure the blister density of packages. They are also known as one-dimensional or linear density tester. The single cylinder device has a measurement range from 0 to 9999 and is capable of measuring the thickness of packaging materials such as aluminum foil, plastic foils, paper & paperboard cartons and glassine sheets with great accuracy.


Dual Cylinder:


The dual cylinder system is used in blister density testers to measure the thickness of both the upper and lower layers of a blister. The two cylinders are placed side by side with air between them. As pressure is applied, the blisters form between the two plates and if they withstand that pressure then it means that product contains no holes and can be sold as new without any degradation.
