Product Definition:
The name comes from its resemblance to the geodesic domes designed by Buckminster Fuller.
SWCNT:
SWCNT, also known as 1,4-Dioxane-2,5-dicarboxylate or 2,5-Pentanediol Diisocyanate is a chemical compound. It has the formula (RCO2H)n. It is a colorless liquid with an odor similar to that of garlic or rotten eggs.
MWCNT:
Methylene diphenyl diisocyanate or MWCNT is a polymeric compound and an odorless solid. It has the formula (MDI)2. The product is manufactured by reacting MDI with phosgene in the presence of sodium methoxide as a catalyst at 100-110°C for 2-3 hours under controlled atmosphere.
Application Insights:
The other applications include automotive, construction, electronics and food & beverages. The product has witnessed tremendous demand from the aforementioned application sectors over the past few years owing to its excellent thermal and mechanical properties. In addition, it is used in electronic devices as a material for manufacturing heat-sink compounds due to its high surface area and chemical stability.
