This process makes it more stable than other carbomers such as ethylcarbamate, which are already highly stable compounds.

Carbomer is a polymer with a high degree of branching and linear chains. It has an amorphous structure. Carbomer is used in the production of polymers, adhesives, elastomers, coatings and binders for pharmaceuticals owing to its unique properties such as low glass transition temperature & higher melting point than polyethylene or polypropylene.
