Ceramic foam is a type of insulation that is made from small, air-filled cavities that are filled with a ceramic material. The foam is then compressed and cut into pieces that are about 1/8 inch thick. These pieces are then glued to the inside of the filter housing and sealed with an adhesive. When the filter is in use, hot water passes through the ceramic foam and heats up quickly due to its high thermal conductivity. This heat causes vaporized water droplets to escape from the pores in the ceramic foam, which removes contaminants from your water supply
