PTC Elements:


PTC elements are the most widely used type of ceramic heating element. They are named so because of the way they work; namely, by passing an electric current through the gas or liquid to generate heat. PTC elements have a positive and negative terminal side, with one of these terminals attached to a power source and the other terminal attached to an insulated wire that is exposed outside for use as an electrode.
