4N is the natural log of 4. It's a term used in chemistry to express the number of molecules there are in one gram molecule of solute. In other words, it's a measure for how concentrated or diluted a solution is. Chromium (III) oxide has been known to react with water and form solid chromate minerals such as Cr2O3-H2O and Cr22+.
5N:
5N is the temperature in degrees above absolute zero. At this temperature, the nuclei and electrons in a crystal are at their lowest possible energy level. The higher the 5N, generally means better quality product with less defects or impurities.
The single crystals used for producing semiconductors are grown under controlled conditions using techniques such as Bridgman-Skiff method and electron beam evaporation (EBE).
