A condensate tank is a storage tank used to store liquid condensate. The importance of a condensate tank is that it allows for the collection and storage of liquid condensate, which can then be used or disposed of as needed.
Vertical Type:
Vertical type condensate tank is a closed container, which is installed in the upper part of the stack. It has advantages over open type such as less evaporation rate and lower temperature gradients inside the system. Vertical type also provides protection against contamination due to its ability to keep liquid from coming into contact with atmosphere.

Horizontal Type:
Horizontal type is a method of storing liquid in bulk in horizontal layers. Horizontal type has been developed over many years and its first commercial installation was done by Shell Chemicals at their refinery in Port Arthur Texas back in1948.
