2 electrodes conductivity cells, also known as bimodal or two-electrode cell, is a type of neural recording device that has two distinct types of electrode: anodes and cathodes. The anode is usually placed in the external environment while the cathode is placed inside the brain tissue. This allows for direct electrical measurement between the external world and brain which gives more accurate results than conventional single electrode techniques.


4 Electrodes Conductivity Cells:


4 electrodes conductivity cells is used in the market to measure the real-time transmittance of a solution across a membrane. The 4EC method provides more accurate results as compared to 2 electrode methods.


The 4 electrodes conductivity cell consists of four separate chambers, each chamber contains one electrolytic solution and an indicator agent that changes color when exposed to electrical current.
