Non-Prestonian type is a method of creating slurry for copper removal during surface mining. It was developed by the American Academy of Mining Engineering in the year 1970. The method is named after Wilbur Presto, an American mining engineer who designed and patented this process in his book “Mining Science and Practice” published in New York city in year 1919.
