CVD Zinc Selenide (ZnSe) is a type of semiconductor that is used in optical applications. It has a high refractive index and low absorption coefficient, making it ideal for use in lasers and other optical devices.


4N:


4N, also known as quadruple nitrogen or N-Nitrosonium, is a chemical compound of nitrogen and four hydrogen atoms. It is a highly crystalline solid that dissolves in water to give an aqua-marine color. 4N can be produced by the reaction of nitric acid with zinc metal in dry air at standard temperature and pressure (STP).


5N:


5N is the current industry standard for high-performance selenium and zinc tin oxide films. It was developed by DuPont in collaboration with 3M, which has been adopted by other manufacturers as well. 5N films have a higher sheet resistance of 0.6-0.8 ?m than conventional ZnSe films, owing to their lower crystalline melting point (300°C).
