A damping resistor is a resistor used to dissipate energy from a system. It is used to control the ringing of bells, the oscillation of filters, and the motion of mechanical systems.


High Voltage:


High voltage is the electrical energy greater than or equal to 1000 volts. The term is generally used for electric energy over and above the range of usual AC Volts (120-230V). It can also be defined as electrical energy with a potential difference of more than or equal to 1000 volts between two points. Low Voltage:

The other type of low voltage circuit includes the relay, which has two terminals; normally closed (NC) and normally open (NO).
